Overstated a bit......Ask the average Brit and you would find no anymosity towards the Icelandic Nation. Those having funds in Icelandic Bank are certainly pissed of at the Icelandic Govment and the Icelandic financial "Cowboys" though.

I am so sorry it has come to this but ...........  It is so easy to blame "shit head" Gordon Brown amd "effin" Darling, but once again in the last few meters we have to remember the part that David Oddson played, with his statements in Kastljos.....

Lets face it...What choice did Gordon Brown have......and please think before getting angry again....The British investors would have been knocking down the door of number 10 asking what he was going to do about the situation and was he was going to let the Icelandic Government get away with daylight robbery. The news was already out....They would have insisted that the British Government help them to get their saving back. He did what he had to do. Stop the runaway train..........and try to work in the best interest of the British investors.

Probably the biggest problem is that so far we have only seen the tip of the iceberg

Iceland will win through, but the Nation really needs to look inside itself. The Government allowed the Jet set children to empty the sweet shops with money borrowed from the Icelandic Tax payer. Now the sweet shops want their money. Unforunately the children have eaten the sweets and have no money to pay for them. Even if "Shithead" Brown had kept his mouth shut, Kaupthing would, in my opinion, have rolled over a couple of days or at the most a week later. It is so sad that about 10% of the Nation have been allowed to put us where we are.

I have worked in Iceland for over 30 years. I worked hard with the same people for 32 years. I paid all my taxes.....I saved in my pension scheme for 30 years and was looking forward to my retirement. Spend a lot more time in the UK and get to visit all my family.  I see myself as 50% British and 50% Icelandic.

My pension (in currency) is now nearly worthless. I not only lose in Kronur amount. I loose what I could have exchanged to use in the UK in my retirement. To put it in perspective I have lost (so far) 15 million against the pound. That has gone.........and ptobably more in the next few months. It won“t come back............

Many of my dreams are gone.  I don“t blame the UK Government. I certainly connot blame the British people. They didn“t have anything to do with it other than trust an Icelandic Bank and an Icelandic Government. I do not blame the Icelandic Nation other than, like me, we stood by and watched it happen...

Stop and think who are the real culprits........The ones that will get away with what they did to Iceland over the past several years. The ones that still own private jets and football clubs and zillions of dollars in property.

The runaway train was ready to crash and take even more people with it. The train had to be stopped but the damage was already done.

Please stop hurling abuse at the brits They just put money in an Icelandic bank, pretty much the same as I did. The only difference is that they will get their money back....I am not sure if we will......

Hvaš sagši Davķš?

„Menn sem ekki geta borgaš eru upp į gamlan mįta taldir óreišumenn, žaš lęrši ég hjį ömmu minni,“ svaraši Davķš. „Viš ętlum ekki aš borga annarra manna skuldir. Viš ętlum ekki aš borga skuldir bankanna sem hafa fariš dįlķtiš gįleysislega.“ Menn eru ennžį aš halda aš žetta séu vandręši en viš erum aš taka žessa dįldiš harkalegu įkvöršun aš segja: Viš ętlum ekki aš borga žessar erlendu skuldir bankanna,“ sagši hann og.fl.

Good luck Iceland....Chin up........We can only go up from here (I hope) I will be spending the winter in the UK, but 50% of my heart will be in Iceland.

As Dave Allan allways said..."May your God go with you"
